YOU WILL MISS HIM WHEN HE’S GONE

How would you feel if you were a Hall of Fame caliber NFL quarterback and your organization gave you Ren & Stimpy or Beavis & Butt-head as your starting wide receivers? To make matters worse, your fans and local talk-radio hosts are constantly trying to run you out of town because you haven’t won a Super Bowl. Well boys and girls, welcome to the world of Donovan McNabb.

The Hate-Hate relationship between Donovan McNabb and the city of Philadelphia got off to a stellar start on Draft Day 1999. The Eagles selected McNabb with the #2 overall pick and he was immediately greeted by tremendously loud BOOOOOOSSSSSS!!!! by the Philly fans (Fans of the Miami Dolphins didn’t complain one bit when they drafted Ronnie Brown 2nd overall in 2005, Go Figure). That was a ridiculous reaction to have for a fan base whose current quarterbacks were Bobby Hoying and Koy Detmer. Well, no one has ever said that Eagles fans were the most knowledgeable fans in the NFL. The truth of the matter was that the fans wanted the team to draft Ricky Williams. Do you think the team made the right decision? Although the very passionate fan base wanted Williams, Andy Reid & company realized that the running backs on the roster were serviceable (Duce Staley & Charlie Garner) and that they really needed a quarterback. Since this was a stellar year for first-round quarterbacks (tongue-in-cheek) they decided that they should pick one with their first round pick. The only thing left was for them to decide between McNabb, Akili Smith, Cade McNown, and Daunte Culpepper. These were their choices only because the great Tim Couch was selected #1 overall and was therefore off the board. So, do you think they made the right pick?

****COMMERCIAL BREAK****

Be sure to check out regular STRAIGHT CASH HOMEY!!!! reader and commenter Anthony “Pharaoh” Goolsby on BET’s Somebodies. He will be appearing in the episode that will be airing Tuesday, September 30th at 10:30 pm.

****NOW BACK TO OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAM****

I applaud the Eagles organization for realizing the special talent that Donovan McNabb was during his time at Syracuse and using the #2 overall pick in the draft to acquire him. However, I don’t understand how you draft a quarterback to build your team around and refuse to give him the needed weapons to be successful. Let’s take a moment and reflect. During McNabb’s tenure in Philadelphia he has thrown passes to James Trash (sorry, I meant to say Thrash), Freddie Mitchell, Torrance Small, Charles Johnson, Chad Lewis, and Todd Pinkston (or should I say Stinkston). Oh, and let’s not forget his current cast of Pro Bowlers. He now has Hank Baskett, Reggie Brown, Greg Lewis, Kevin Curtis, Jason Avant, and DeSean Jackson. I am sure that this group strikes fear in the hearts of defensive coordinators all over the NFL. I’m sorry, there was one glaring omission from his list of receivers. That would be the one-man team killer himself, Mr. Terrell (I LOVE ME SOME ME) Owens. As much as I hate Owens (almost as much as I hate Kobe Bryant), he is an absolute beast as a wide receiver. He is a legit number one receiver and he is one of the three best receivers in the NFL today. Does anyone remember what happened when Donovan got a chance to play with a legitimate NFL receiver? That’s right, he led the Eagles to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately for the McNabb and the Eagles the Terrell Owens experiment was only successful for one season. By his second season in Philly, the one-man team killer earned his nickname, and single-handedly killed the team. It is really a shame because they were great together. It’s also a shame that the Eagles haven’t given McNabb a competent receiver since.

Even with the talentless group of receivers that he has been forced to play with, McNabb has managed to lead the Eagles to six playoff appearances, four NFC Championship Games, and 1 Super Bowl. This apparently isn’t good enough for Eagles fans. They are constantly trying to run this guy out of town, for not being a winner. There were actually some that were saying this off-season that the team would be better off starting Kevin Kolb instead of McNabb. Are you serious? If you are reading this and you are one of those fans, please SLAP YOURSELF!!!! If you think that Kevin Kolb gives you a better chance to win than Donovan McNabb, you really need to have your medications adjusted. I just have one thing to say to Philly fans. You can hate him all you want, but YOU WILL MISS HIM WHEN HE’S GONE.

While exchanging text messages with Anthony “Pharaoh” Goolsby earlier this week, we both realized that Donovan McNabb simply does not get the credit and respect that he deserves from NFL fans (especially Eagles fans). I then decided to put his greatness in perspective and let people know that we are fortunate to be witnessing greatness before our eyes. Peyton Manning, Brett Favre (the Diva), and Tom Brady (for a minute, it looked like they were going to cancel the season when Brady got injured) are held in such high regard in NFL circles. Truthfully, I view McNabb as their equal. Every NFL player is always one play away from having his season, or even worse, his career end. Before it is over for McNabb, do yourself a favor and enjoy his greatness. He is arguably the most complete quarterback in the game today and is the best run/pass threat the league has ever seen. He should definitely be celebrated as such, and I am willing to start the party.

****PROOF THAT LIFE ISN’T FAIR****
Journeyman Quarterback Jon Kitna has had the great fortune of playing with such receivers as Chad Johnson & TJ Houshmandzadeh in Cincinnatti and now he has Calvin Johnson & Roy Williams in Detroit. Future Hall of Famer Donovan McNabb on the other hand has been playing with “insert scrub here” basically his entire career.

****COUNTDOWN TO ELECTION DAY****
WE ARE NOW 51 DAYS AWAY FROM ELECTING THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. I HOPE THAT EVERYONE READING THIS HAS ALREADY REGISTERED TO VOTE. IF NOT, PLEASE DO SO SOON. BE SURE TO LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!!!!

All Philly fans are sports sadomasochists who get more pleasure out of watching their teams struggle and lose then they do watching their teams actually win something. Wasn't their last championship in any sport in the 1930s or something? Philly fans are only a notch above the French on my list of people who suck at life.

Moving on. I agree with your entire post except for Donovan being in the same category as Tom, Peyton, and Brett. First of all, Donovan shaves with Chunky Soup. Second of all, he hasn't won the Big Game. To be mentioned in the same sentence as those 3, Donovan must win the Big Game. Donovan, please take a seat next to Dan Marino.

Tom Brady won the Big Game in 2004 throwing to the likes of David Givens, David Patten, Deion Branch, and Bethel Johnson. Yes, they are better than all of the receivers you mentioned, but not Pontiac Game Changing Performance better. Think of those players in the context of 2004. They weren't good.

As a Philadelphia native I have to say that I love Donovan McNab and think that the fans there have been totally unfair to him. He is not only a great player, but a good and decent guy (which we know is rare in the NFL). They will definitely miss him when his is gone as they did with Randall Cunningham (is anyone else noticing a pattern there?)

Once again I have to jump on Marty and point out the flaw in his argument. You say Donovan's receivers were not vastly worse than Brady's in 2004 which is why he probably has made it to the big game without actually winning it. Further, as much as I hate to admit it, Brady did have an advantage with those receivers that Donovan has never had--his play callers knew in advance what the opponents defence would do. That's enough to make a difference between going to the big game and winning it. I mean what was Brady's margin of victory that year?

True Mr. Edwards. True; however, you are not going to get off that easy with your comments about Donovan Mc"Nap." First, I would like to say that he is a great talent when he isn't dodging questions about T.O. to redeem his manhood, or forcing away the spoon dripping with Chunky soup from his mother. (She's the real captain). I fell out of favor with Donovan when he fell into the trap that white reporters dug for him. "I am not a running quarterback!" How do you figure? Why do you think the Eagles selected you? Your strength is your mobility, use it!!! Donovan has elected to have himself measured by an archaic ruler that only seems to correctly measure white quarterbacks. "He has great pocket presence, he is thinks pass, then runs, etc." Do you think Peyton stiff-self would sit in the pocket and get blasted if he could utilize wheels. Oh, he doesn't. Most of these commentators don't have skills to elude pressure in the pocket, and they choose to criticized those that have a God-given talent. Donovan fell right into that trap. As for T.O., the greatest receiver right now, Mc"Nap" ran him out of town. Just remember that!

Marty Mar, I was with you all the way until you said that McNabb is not in the same category as Brady and Manning. The easiest way to determine if he's on thier level is to put him on their teams. Belichek would work wonders with McNabb(+ they have Moss...Over) beyond our belief using his talent to the utmost. In Indy, just give him Reggie Wayne, and that's Super Bowl written all over it.

McNabb has better mobility than ANY of the higher tier qb's. Period. He wins. As far as accuracy, Peyton Manning wins. But, Donovan is not too far behind. He's more accurate(Manning) when he moves. He has great pocket presence(Brady), and can create on the run(Favre). He is the complete package. No other quarterback can even touch where he's at(the closest would be Vick, if he could read a defense). See what happened to Brady in the Super Bowl w/RANDY MOSS? That wouldn't have happened with McNabb(because he can move...WELL).

You are right, he must win the big game...by himself!! Because Philly will never give him a top tier reciever...they won't even give him an above average reciever...but they'll give him some damn Chunky Soup to make him big and skrong!

Ask me whether I'd rather have Marino or McNabb? Go ahead I'll wait. MCNABB!! See, what everyone fails to remember is that he is great. He's been doing it by HIMSELF. Peyton can't do that we've seen it. As a matter of fact he's always had atleast one decent receiver. Brady on the other hand has had a slew of average. McNabb has had garbage. Complete GARBAGE!! But he's went to 4 NFC Championship games.

Let's call a spade a spade and say that McNabb is a Colt 45 and the Eagles give him bb's for ammunition. Nuff said.

All the previous comments were made prior to last night's game so I'll assume that no one saw the butt whoppin the eagles put on St. Louis last week and last night was the first time some of you got to see McNabb play while not in the process of trying to come back from an injury. As we saw last night, Brian Westbrook is his best receiver and Donovan is awesome. Even the Monday Night Football commentators had to admit he's back. The Cowboys are supposed to be a top-tier defense (or at least that's what I previously read on Straight Cash Homey!!!)so either that man is the truth or... No we'll just leave it at that, he's the truth!!!

Further, I believe what Donovan always says is that he isn't a running quarterback, which is different from being a mobile quarterback. Vince Young is a running quarter back, Michael Vick is (was) a running quarterback. Donovan actually goes through his progressions and waits to run when he has to or sees a ripe opening rather than running after one check down.

And for anyone who ever sides with Terrel "I love me some me" Owens; well lets just say foolish is a foolish does. He has consistently let his mouth write checks his talent couldn't cash which is why he's been traded away from previous teams. When your first objective is 'how can I get the cameras on me?' regardless of what it does to my team you are destructive and his talents can't make up for that. This is what truly got him out of Philly.

Though Dallas is where all the NFL teams seem to send their troublesome players for redemption, I'm pretty sure they've got one more time to under achieve before he starts attacking Romo and becoming the T.O. we all love to hate.

Scott said...

Just to pile on a little T.O. hate, remember - this guy has badmouthed his quarterbacks no matter where he went. He publicly implied that Jeff Garcia is gay, and he questioned McNabb's manhood. However, I don't recall ever seeing McNabb cry after a playoff loss like T.O. did.

At any rate, McNabb put on a show last night and I hated to see him come up short after such a great performance.

In response to the comment from marty....

First of all, I thought that you were instructed last week not to comment again until Tech beats Georgia?

Thanks for not listening, I really appreciate the support. However, now I must correct you as I seem to have to do on a weekly basis.

YES Donovan is the equal of the "Holy Trinity" of NFL Quarterbacks. Favre has won only one Super Bowl for all of his "greatness" and I don't think that McNabb has ever thrown as many interceptions in a season as Favre has or as many in a game as Favre has. If I had to choose, I would take McNabb over Favre 10 out of 10 times. As for Manning, I think that he is the best in the game. I do feel that he is better than McNabb, but not by much. It is hard to compare them when you look at Manning's weapons v/s McNabb's weapons. Now, for Mr. Brady. He is great, I will take nothing away from him. Unfortunately there is the "Spygate" episode. Remember when they faced off in the Super Bowl? I believe the Patriots won by three and after the game many Eagles players said, "I felt like they were in our huddle and knew what we were doing." I wonder why? Therefore until further notice, Brady will not be discussed as a champion, because we all know that he had a lot of help.

Next, It is true that Brady has not always had stellar recievers, but Deion Branch is better than anyone McNabb has ever played with except for T.O. (he had T.O and Brady had the defensive signals, and guess who won)

I know that you play to win championships, but you can't measure a player by championships alone. Are Trent Dilfer, Jeff Hostetler, Jim McMahon, or Mark Rypien better than McNabb? I don't think so and if you do, you're insane! He has gone to FOUR NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES AND IN THREE OF THEM HE PLAYED WITH RECIEVERS WHO COULDN'T PLAY FOR THE COACH OF MY HIGH SCHOOL!!!! (Shout out to the GREAT WILLIAM "BUCK" GODFREY) Furthermore he would have won a Super Bowl if the portable video camera had not been invented.

The guy is great and haters like you continue to miss his greatness. Like I said, YOU WILL MISS HIM WHEN HE'S GONE!

In response to the comment from carl....

O.K. I really don't want to revisit the T.O situation. Bottom line, T.O is jealous that quarterbacks get all of the attention in the NFL and he is upset that he isn't a quarterback. If you think that Donovan deserves any blame for the T.O. situation, then you are a poor misguided soul who just doen't know a jealous immature child when he sees one. Call a spade a spade. T.O. was simply jealous of Mr. McNabb. Trust me on this, if the Cowboys don't win the Super Bowl this year, T.O. will be throwing Mr. Romo under the same bus that he threw Jeff Garcia and Donovan McNabb.

Also, McNabb is correct is saying that he isn't and never was a running quarterback. He is a mobile quarterback. A running quarterback is Randall Cunningham (the early years), Michael Vick, and Vince Young. Those guys all dropped back to pass and if their first options weren't open, they immediately took off running. McNabb on the other hand moved around to make plays with his arm and when there was no one open (after going through his progressions) he took off. He is a quarterback who can run and not a running quarterback. For more evidence, look at his college career when he was lighting it up through the air to the likes of Marvin Harrison and Kevin Johnson. He ran when he had to and when he did it was often a big play.

Come on, I know that you know enough about football to differentiate between a running quarterback and a quarterback who can run.

Unknown said...

Carlos I know the difference between running and mobile, but do you know the difference of how words are creatively scripted through the lips of media snakes? The term "running" quarterback is automatically associated with an African-American. "Negro keep running!" Listening to your response, you sound like blind media figures who can't recognize raw talent, or are afraid to respect it. Micheal Vick was, and still is the greatest talent that ever walked/ran on the field. Shawty, he ran because he didn't have a line. That is what he was paid to do. I know what you are going to say, "they lead the league in rushing!" Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. If any team had a quarterback to rush for a 1,000 yards, then they would be in the lead. AS for Vince Young, there is no discussion there. Vince Young is the leftover effect of hurricane Vick. Back to the subject at hand, Vick doesn't nut up in the wee hours of the morning like McSick. As you saw the other night, the man doesn't want pressure. He would rather have his mother take the sack. Run brother, run!!! He was getting sacked as if he if wasn't "mobile!" Mobile is a term they give a stiff quarterback that can dance at a wedding. The media has brainwashed all of you guys who continues to push down the talents of someone who does it differently than the "norm!" It is a monopolized industry of thought feed to you by a chunky soup spoon. And Goolsby, love the comment about chunky soup--make em' strong pimpin!

I must say that I admire your passion and respect your point of view. However, I base my view of athletes on facts and not emotions. I will not get emotional over another grown man's athletic ability. They are no different than me, just a lot bigger and a lot faster.

You are correct that the media likes to pigeon-hole black quarterbacks. They automatically assume that they are "athletic" quarterbacks or "running" quarterbacks, when that is not always the case. A perfect example of the opposite would be Byron Leftwich, who I consider to be the "Black Drew Bledsoe". I also agree that Michael Vick is the greatest "talent" to ever play QB in the NFL. He is a running quarterback, which is what makes him great. It is also true (as you so eloquently stated) that he let the media get into his head and try to change him. That forced him to try to be someone that he is not. Vince Young is also a running quarterback, but I won't enter into any further discussion about him because he just sucks. I have no arguments with your opinions, until you get to McNabb.

Check the tape. At Syracuse McNabb was a great duel threat. He played with Marvin Harrison (1st round draft pick) and Kevin Johnson (2nd round draft pick), and simply aired it out when it was there and took off running when it wasn't. He was a very accomplished passer in college, unlike the "true running quarterbacks" Vick, Young, Cunningham, or even Kordell Stewart (I can't believe you forced me to mention Kordell Stewart in my blog. I will never forgive you for that). Going into the 1999 draft, McNabb was considered a great dual-threat QB and not a great athlete who we can teach to throw the football. A good example of the opposite would be Vince Young. Everyone always said that he was a great athlete and that he must be taught the proper mechanics of throwing the football.

McNabb ran a whole lot early in his career for two reasons: 1. He was on a bad team with a bad line, and 2. HIS RECEIVERS SUCKED!!!! He was their only hope of being sucessful.

Truthfully by trying to keep him in a box by saying that he must keep running and not listening to the media, you are being much more of a hater than the media. You don't want to see him flourish as his talent would allow. You would much rather see him run around all day, get crushed by linebackers and say, "I'm keeping it real, I will never throw the ball because I am a running quarterback." That is ridiculous! The guy is a dual threat, simple as that. You should respect his game for what it is.

Just in case you are having a difficult time understanding the difference between a running quarterback and a dual threat, I will leave you with this illustration.

When Vince Young snaps the ball he probably says to himself, "I really don't know what my progressions are or what play I just called. So I will just take off running and get what I can get."

Michael Vick probably said to himself, "Oh no, Crumpler isn't open and the rest of these scrubs won't catch it anyway. Time to go! BYE! BYE!"

McNabb probably says to himself, "Scrub #1 isn't open, Scrub #2 isn't open, Scrub #3 can't get open, and Westbrook is tired because I have thrown him the last five passes. Oh well, TIME TO TAKE OFF!"

That my friend is a quarterback who can run and will do it effectively when he has to.

Oh, I forgot to say one thing. YOU ARE TOTALLY OFF THE ORIGINAL SUBJECT OF THE BLOG!!!! The point of this entry was simply to give Donovan a little bit of love. He deserves it, because as you said the media has been hating on him since day one and so have the Philly fans. I just thought that we would all appreciate his greatness, because WE WILL ALL MISS HIM WHEN HE'S GONE. Even you, because you will never see a DUAL-THREAT combination like him again. HE IS THE BEST PASS/RUN QUARTERBACK THE LEAGUE HAS EVER AND WILL EVER SEE.

Carlos, brother I understand where you are coming from. I truly do, however, I am going to “learn” you (good ole’ Southwest Dekalb lingo). Emotionally speaking Carlos, I wanted you to examine my comments, or rather the historical context of McNabb’s delinquency of respect for his endangered fraternity, the African-American quarterback pack—throw phi run! I thought that this wouldn’t have been a stretch for somebody that has great football acumen; however, I am sadly mistaken once again. During McNabb’s current rise to the top of this “elite” pack of quarterbacks, there was a simultaneous explosion of African-American talent at the quarterback position, i.e. Michael Vick, Steve McNair, Byron Leftwich, Daunte Culpepper, Aaron Brooks, Quincy Carter (ok, a little too much) etc. I have never doubted McNabb’s talents—he’s good, not great, but good! In stating that fact, McNabb’s talents were highlighted by the great and concurrent success of his contemporaries. Now let’s examine the subject of McNabb, and why I fell out of touch with him. And Carlos, the subject matter is Donovan McNabb, period! You are showing respect for his talents on the field, I feel you. I simply commented on his character on and off the gridiron. Sir, I am on point!
Rush Limbaugh’s comments on the love affair with Donovan McNabb are the basis of my argument, or rather, the scared rebuttal of McNabb. The lovable Limbaugh pulled McNabb’s card when he insisted that McNabb wasn’t equally criticized on the gridiron due to his color. Damn, African-American quarterbacks receiving too much love from the media. I guess that’s where you fall in defending him! Needless to state, Limbaugh’s comments were out of line, and just foolish. I know that we all can agree on this point. But just as a buck shoot fired from the barrel of my uncle’s shotgun to group together the pigs before Thanksgiving, Donovan ran from the grotesque comments with his tail jammed between his legs, and noticeably, away from the very players that provided some type of comfort within the NFL—throw phi run! Pay close attention to the comments uttered by Limbaugh, “I think what we’ve had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback does well……There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn’t deserve. The defense carried this team” (Sports Illustrated—2007 (search on google)). Indeed, Limbaugh was directly attacking McNabb, any commoner can see that, but the underlining message is where McNabb should have focused his attention. The greatest slap of the face was his comments about African-American quarterbacks. He did what many white men did in the past, or in the present when feel threatened, they pull the card of the closet one to the house, or weakest to cause division within the group—a bit harsh, but the truth. Donovan’s response to the comments was that he thought that color shouldn’t be an issue with sports. In addition to the politically correct answer, Donovan wanted to elaborate that he didn’t want to be know as a running quarterback. Yes, I know, I am getting there.
A running quarterback is synonymous with a black quarterback. That is just the facts. So when people hear a running quarterback, we all know what they mean. Not saying that’s right or wrong, but that is just what it is. But why is it wrong? Is the mere association with a term describing the greatest attribute many African-American quarterbacks possess wrong? Is what they do on the field to elude tacklers wrong? Are their talents, when juxtaposed to European-American quarterbacks, a grey area of immeasurable talent; maybe? In stating that, I feel Donovan was disassociating himself from his contemporaries, because of the media’s use of the running quarterback in a negative way to heighten their talents. In essence, Donovan is disrespecting the endangered fraternity of African-American quarterbacks! And Carlos, I picked the Eagles to win the big show, but ask yourself this question. Picture this, the Superbowl is here, and the Eagles are driving down the field against the Colts with 15 seconds left on the clock. Of course it is the fourth quarter, and the ball lies at the 35 yard line. It is 4th down, with five yards to go for the first. The ball is snapped, and the lanes open with McNabb starting down the barrel. Will he run or throw? He scrambles to the left and the right to find an open receiver, but T.O. is nowhere to be found. He looks at Peyton in his eyes, and wonders, can I ever be accepted with the likes of this guy? What is he going to do? Should he run the ball for the inevitable first, or will he throw the ball to prove that he is more than a “running” quarterback? Run brother, run! I am not attempting to pigeon-hole Donovan, but the obvious decision relies on what God has given him!!!!!!! Of by the way, while Donovan was scrambling attempting to be accepted, the clock struck 0:00, the gaps have closed, and Donovan, as usual, let another opportunity slip because he has reinvented himself to be accepted. And please, not more mention of Vince Young. I have your back on that!

First of all, I love your passion and your strong opinions. That is what makes doing this blog so much fun. I totally understand where you are coming from in your opinions. I even agree with some of them (GO FIGURE?). I also disagree with the majority of them.

However, although you have said quite a bit about McNabb, we still don't know if you think that he is a rare talent. Which was the point of the entry. THE POINT OF THIS ENTRY WAS TO DECIDE IF McNABB'S ABILITY TO PASS/RUN WAS THE MOST UNIQUE THAT WE HAVE EVER SEEN.

You have said that he is a great talent when dodging questions about T.O. but NOTHING ABOUT HIM ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD! THAT MY FRIEND, IS WHAT I MEAN BY STAYING ON THE TOPIC AT HAND!!!! It is obvious that you really don't like McNabb and that this topic struck an emotional nerve with you, which is cool. However, before you go off on tangents, please state your opinion on the entry at hand.

I simply stated that we have never seen this skill set before and probably won't see it again. That's all.

So I ask you the original question, Do you think McNabb is a rare talent and do you think that fans (particularly in Philadelphia) will miss him when he is gone?

Unknown said...

You mentioning this emotional thing is cute--keep it up. I don't think his talents are up to par!!! When he is gone, to another team, Philly won't miss Donovan. They will just harass someone else. I wanted Donovan to play for the Chicago Bears--Lord knows they need a quarterback. Donovan is just sticking around to receive the abuse. He reminds you of that guy that everybody whispers behind his back because his wife is extremely friendly to everyone! Instead of just leaving the marriage, he stays and becomes apart of her show. And Carlos, I do enjoy your blog. That is not an emotional comment, that's a fact. In stating that, I am always going to hive you a different point of view. I don't like, and have never like saying the same thing as everyone else. What's the fun in that?

I love the fact that we disagree a lot. That is why I write the blog. I have strong opinions and enjoy other people's strong opinions. There is nothing I hate more than a person without an opinion. Keep it up, that is what drives me to do the work that it takes to do this every week (it is acutally a lot of work).

By the way, THANKS FOR FINALLY COMMENTING ON THE ACTUAL ISSUE THAT I RAISED!!!!

I appreciate different views and opinions, whether I agree with them or not. I just prefer that they be on the topic that I wrote about that week.

I will be writing a blog soon about how the media treats various different athletes. That will be just for you because I know that you have strong opinions on that one.
