Football season is now in full swing. The “kiddies” have been playing for about four weeks and we are in Week 3 of the NFL season. MAN, I AM LOVING LIFE RIGHT NOW!!!! After watching a lot of football over the past month, I have made several observations and have some interesting opinions about what I have seen thus far. Below you will find my opinions and observations (in no particular order) about the college and NFL football seasons thus far. This list was put together as ideas and thoughts popped into my head, so the college and NFL comments are mixed together. Feel free to chime in on any of them and let me know if you agree, disagree, or have other opinions and comments of your own.
DeSean Jackson is the biggest idiot in sports right now. Don't believe me? Here's proof!

DeSean Jackson cost everyone who started Donovan McNabb a lot of fantasy points, but gave those who started Brian Westbrook a freebie.
No disrespect to Jerry Rice, Chris Carter, Art Monk , Steve Largent, or even such greats as Andre Rison, Freddie Mitchell, or Peerless Price, but the BEST TWO RECEIVERS TO EVER PLAY IN THE NFL ARE RANDY MOSS AND TERRELL OWENS!!!!

Last week’s Monday Night Football game was the best football game that I have ever seen (and just think it was regular season Week 2 game). I LOVE THE NFL!!!!
Watching Adrian Peterson’s running style reminds me of Eric Dickerson, minus the “Jheri Curl” and “Rec Specs.”

Sunday’s game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Kansas City Chiefs might serve as the tie-breaker for the #1 overall draft pick. That is unless the Rams have something to say about that.
LSU’s defense is better than at least six NFL defenses right now.
Ohio State should stop playing non-conference games against teams from other BCS conferences. It’s starting to get embarrassing.
Georgia’s Matthew Stafford should be the first quarterback selected in the 2009 NFL Draft if he decides to leave school a year early.
I am still waiting on my consulting fee from Georgia Tech for the Paul Johnson hire.
Ron Jaworski & Pat Kirwin are the most brilliant football minds in America.

The Saints (everyone’s pre-season favorite to win their division) better watch out for the Panthers & Buccaneers in the NFC South.
DeAngelo Hall is not an elite corner. His mother doesn’t even think so anymore.
Jay Cutler is the truth.
Vince Young will be out of the league soon.
At this point in their careers, I would take Aaron Rogers over Brett “Diva” Favre (Looks like the Packers made the right decision).
The Dallas Cowboys are the most impressive team in the NFL entering Week 3.
The Minnesota Vikings shouldn’t have benched Tavarris Jackson. They are making him the scapegoat. Although he hasn’t played great, he isn’t the sole reason they are 0 – 2.
Matt Cassel won’t finish the season as the Patriots’ starting quarterback.
Hey Minnesota, If Gus Frerotte’s the answer, I would love to know what the question is.
Note to Daunte Culpepper: You can’t retire from a league that you are not a part of.
This is a bad week to play the Chargers (Good Luck Mr. Favre).
Chase Daniel (University of Missouri quarterback) is a great “college quarterback”. I hope they pay well in Canada.
The Washington Redskins (I hate that nickname, it’s really offensive) are a really good football team. They will make the playoffs as long as their coach stays out of the way.
The New York Giants aren’t as good as everyone thinks.
Cleveland, Jacksonville, and San Diego are the three most disappointing teams in the NFL right now.
The Kansas City Chiefs started their third different quarterback of the season in Week 3. That’s never a good sign.
After predicting that it would happen for 5 straight years, it finally looks like the Arizona Cardinals have a shot at winning the NFC West.

Paul Johnson is the TRUTH. With 75 of 110 players being Freshmen or Sophomores, we have to be thinking ACC title in 2009 or 2010.
Adrian Peterson doesn't need to worry about a sophomore slump.
Every once in a while there is always someone that comes along that we can all agree to hate. Think Hitler, bin Laden, etc. Bobby Petrino is currently that man and he is so bad that even Carlos became a Nick Sabin fan for one day.
Ronnie Brown does have one (1) good game in him.
The ACC, written off as the worst of the BCS conferences after Week 1, has bounced back nicely. While these are not powerhouse schools, they play big boy football and they all suffered losses to the ACC recently: East Carolina, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Rutgers, Cal, and Ole Miss.
The Answer: Matt Hasselbeck, Carson Palmer, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Marc Bulger, Tony Romo, Donovan McNabb, Brett Favre, Drew Brees, and Jake Delhomme.
The Question: Name 11 Pro Bowl quarterbacks with a lower QB rating than JT O'Sullivan.
Ohio State should be banned from Top 5 rankings for at least a few years. At least this year we got to see how overrated they are BEFORE they got to the National Championship game.
We knew this at the start of the season, but the Patriots DEFINITELY miss Asante Samuel.
USC is hands down the best team in college football.
People at work keep telling me "Hey, the Falcons are 2-1". Yes, but any sane football fan looked at this schedule at the start of the season and saw 3 possible wins: Detroit, Kansas City, and Oakland. We are at best on track to meet expectations. Win one of the next 3 games: Carolina, Green Bay, and Chicago and then we can start getting excited about the prospects of a 5-11 season.
It's not fair that the only NFL game on in Atlanta at 1p.m. was the Falcons vs. the Chiefs.
Even more unfair is that one of the better afternoon games (Steelers vs. Eagles) wasn't on in our market.
The SEC is the greatest division in college football (check the top five in this weeks rankings).
The Georgia Bulldogs are awesome!!!
The ACC is still the worst BCS conference.
Brett Favre will be ready to retire again after this season.

I loathe the Irish, and everything they stand for. I hope the pear-shaped coach, and the Irish get everything they deserve after the what they did to Tyrone. In Tyrone's four years, he never had a year like Danny Devito, aka the penguin, aka, the sloppy beef and cheddar. He is the equivalent to Issiah Thomas--he doesn't deserve such a "prestigious" position. In addition to who else that doesn't deserve a job in professional sports, or another shot at a career in the NFL is Matt the "Hack" in Detroit. C'mon, he is the worst (your title here) to every have a GM position. He's worst than Rakin Smith of the Falcons--I know he was the owner, but the Falcons never won under him too!
Speaking of the SEC, I love powerhouse football. That is how the south plays ball. Peace out to Larry Munson. In stating that, Georgia will not make it to the BCS championship. (I know, I know) Their road is too bumpy, and they have too many injuries.
Alabama is going to surprise a lot of people this year. Nick Saban can coach. And please people, let's get Sylvester Croom some help at Mississippi State. I feel bad for ol' boy.Vanderbilt winning, and Mississippi a'int, damn! Vanderbilt looks like they lowered their entrance exam requirements. lol 4-0, and not stop in sight. Please, somebody search for NCAA violations. I can't see a team in Nashville, Tenn. going to any type of championship.
"Ohio state is who we thought they were, and USC put their tails on the hook!" I think Terrell Pryor is the truth, but he came to the wrong team. I've been watching this young man for two years, and he is better than what people think. He reminds me of Allen Iverson in high school. For those of you who didn't know, Allen Iverson was the best quarterback that played in Virginia. And yes, better than Michael Vick. Check the tapes.
The Falcons still suck---come back Michael.
